On July 28th, Thai media reported that at 8 am this morning, the local police in Mae Hong Son Province received a report that a foreign tourist had fallen off a cliff in Pai Canyon. The police immediately contacted relevant departments and rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
The injured party, Mr. CALLUM DAVID, a 25-year-old British man, fell from the top of the Grand Canyon, sustaining leg injuries. When found by the police, the man was still conscious. The police and rescue personnel immediately initiated rescue efforts, throwing down a rope for him to tie around himself before pulling him up the cliff. Afterwards, the injured man was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Currently, the tourist's condition is stable.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Sudirawa, the Tourism Inspector of Mae Hong Son Province, revealed that it is currently the rainy season, with slippery ground conditions and steeper, more slippery hillsides. This serves as a reminder to both domestic and international tourists to pay attention to safety when visiting slippery and high-risk areas to prevent accidents from occurring.
